Which car for rep job 30-40k miles per year?

I'm considering taking a travelling representative job, which will amount to 30-40k miles per annum on my personal car. I don't think my present 2001 Daewoo Matiz SE will hold up long being as it already has 80k miles on it. Any suggestions as to what I should think about replacing it with...something fuel efficient, not terribly expensive to buy/operate. Thanks :)
I should also mention I'm in England.
 
honda accord nissan altima or maxima! or toyota camry ither of the 4 would be good i own a 2003 nissan maxima 6 speed and i get 28 mpg on average
