Which car do you like better: Nissan Versa ($16950) or Mazda 2 ($14975). Both

can be had for $14000.? the MSRP on the Versa hatchback is 16500. I can get it for 14000 and zero percent financing for 60 months. The Mazda 2 MRSP is 14975. I can get it for 14000 plus zero percent financing for 60 months. The Mazda 2 is a manual. The Versa is an automatic (automatic is all they have in stock).
I test drove both, and honestly it's a tough decision. Both are quite different. The Versa had a commanding view of the road. It glided over the rough spots in the road. It felt more substantial.
The Mazda 2 had very sensitive, fun steering. It didn't feel substantial like the Versa. But it was
much more fun to drive. I was bored in the Versa after 2 minutes of driving. But I am trying to take a long view of it. I am 50 years old (guy), and I need a car to replace my 20 year old truck. Maybe in the long run I will come to appreciate the more substantial Versa? Or maybe the Mazda 2 driving
dynamics will never grow old. I suck at making decisions. I am single and don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of. Thanks.

No offense, but I really thought you were a 20-something female. I guess I shouldn't stereotype people. I think part of is was your user name. Lesson learned.

If you are bored on a test-drive of a vehicle, then definitely don't get the Versa You will be very unhappy with the vehicle within a couple of weeks and wish you never bought it.
That being said, it seems like the Mazda 2 isn't 'wowing' you either.

I would suggest test-driving a couple of more options. You will be surprised, but you can actually get a 2011 Mazda 3 Sport manual base model sedan for right at $15,000 plus 0% financing, as well.
My wife drives a 2010 i-touring model and I would highly recommend it.

If you have to have a hatchback, give the Ford Fiesta a drive. It is on the same platform as the Mazda 2, but they are not the same ride and feel. Go out and drive it. See what you think.

i wouldn't buy either one as versa not great and mazda owned partly bu ford and interior is not great , look into hyundau elantra for that price range, very highly rated and great warranty, not many people want to look into this company but the cars are very good and price plus warrany is great.
if you want to spend a little more the hyundai sonata or kia optima are very good ( kia hyundai are same company ) and thse cars are alos very highly rated plus the 5 year 50,00 warranty plus 0 year 100,000 on power train, can't beat it.
