Which business to chose?

Hi, i am thinking about starting a business with my wife.

I was wondering what business structure is best..

i know the information about a partnership but what is a 'private company'?

What are the good and bad things about a private comapny and what does it include?

In your opinion which one should i chose to do?
I want to start off small so i dont want to many expenses.. thank you :)
