Which brand is the best for plasma tv besides panasonic and samsung?

I am looking at buying a 50" or bigger (no more than 60") plasma. I want a plasma because all of the research i've read states that plasmas simply have the "deepest" picture and they are cheaper than an LCD for the most part of equal quality at this size range. And now the "burn in" issue is almost not even there. I also DO NOT want a panasonic or samsung. I have been looking at the reviews for a lot of their plasmas and there are a lot of complaints of these tvs crapping out not long after they are out of warranty, Which is only 2 years. If im going to spend this much money for something it better last me a LONG time i would expect a bare minimum of 5 years. it has to be full HD 1080p resolution. It doesn't have to be 3D ready but it would be nice. All i will be using for will be watching blu-rays and video gaming. Don't really need to be able to hook it up to the internet or anything like that. I've been looking at LG plasmas a lot, they all seem to have decent reviews. Just wondering about any other options. Price range is about $1,800, no more. Upgrading from a 10+ year old Samsung 27" CRT TV that still woks fine, just have never owned a hi-def or flat screen. it's time to upgrade.

i would rather have a panasonic plasma tv than a crappy LG or lucky goldstar before they changed their name,, different name still the same crap products

if you want a good plasma tv try and get a pioneer kuro 9th generation, the best you can get,, but due to pioneer have stopped doing tv's now they are very hard to find, due to people who want the BEST,

panasonic have bought over pioneer technology and thats funny panasonic offers a 5yr warranty with there tv's NOT 1yr

To be perfectly honest with you I would not buy a plasma, the bulbs burn out to quickly. I would recommend buying a LED or a LCD. Plasma TV's are not worth the money do to costly repairs and maintenance.
