My whole family consists of Lutheran Christians, and I know I should try to believe what they do, but I don't think I can commit to that one religion. There are certain aspects of numerous religions that I believe in that, when put together, don't really qualify as one specific branch of religion. I think of bread and wine as a symbol of Christ's body and blood, rather than both a symbol and actual parts of him. I believe in some form of reincarnation, like in Hinduism. And a form of Karma from Buddhism (?). The list continues. I think I have more beliefs in Christianity than any other religion, but which branch should I be a part of? I would rather just consider myself a religious person, but I know I really should choose one. Does anyone else feel this way or is it only me? What should I do?
(P.S. If you are just going to complain about Christians or Christianity, then please refrain from answering this. Thanks!)
