For a staggering 35 bowl games this holiday season in college football, you are bound to have some great match-ups, and some not-so-great ones. While everyone is excited about the Auburn-Oregon title game, I like the Texas A&M-LSU pairing in the Cotton Bowl as well. These two schools had a fierce inter-conference rivalry in the old SWC days, and both are having a tremendous year. And the game makes perfect geographical sense, too.
On the flip side, there are match-ups that make you just scratch your head and ask "Why?" ---Why is TCU playing in the Rose Bowl and Stanford playing in the Orange Bowl? Wouldn't it make more sense the other way around? And Missouri and Iowa, two schools separated by about a 2-hour drive, have to go all the way to Arizona to play in the Insight Bowl?
What do you think? are there other bowls/match-ups that you think make no sense?
