Which Bike for first motorcycle?

Hey everyone im looking to buy my first motorcycle soon.And i was wondering a few things first...Should i get a 600 and get used to it? Or get something smaller like a 250 or 125? I like aprilia 125s alot!! But i also like yamaha r6s and honda cbrs.So which one should i go with? And can anyone tell me how fast a aprilia 125 goes? Thanks!!! And if you have any other recommendations for really cool naked or really sporty bikes please let me know. :D
Oh and also i am looking at a suzuki gladius!!! I really like the looks of this bike.Does anyone know any other bikes that look alot like this...For cheaper? Thanks!
 
Get an old bike cause you're going to drop it. The Aprilia 125 is a two stroke single track bike. I sat on one during a bike show and it feels super light.

The Gladius is the good beginner bike, but it's new and you're going to drop it. Get an old SV650. It's basically Suzuki's earlier version of the Gladius and also a good bike to start on.

I'm biased toward either a Ninja 250 or 500. 500 is better for the highway and commuting. The 250 is the best bike for tight twisty roads.
 
my friend just bought an aprila.he loves it but it is very expensive for addons/customizing.look into maintenace costs for any bike.if you cant fix it you cant ride it. buy the bike you are going to keep for a long time unless you want to end up with a gsxr 1200 or something you should take a bike riding course.
