Which BB to get the mom

Looking to get a BB for my mother. She's not very tech savvy so I'll have to set up etc. Here is her wish list

Be able to put pics in so that she doesn't have to try and read the name of who is calling.
Small, not as wide as my 8700
Be able to give turn by turn directions

So, I was looking around and was thinking of the 8100 for her. Do I understand that this bb has GPS? Is there an available application that will give turn by turn directions with sound?

if he's posting in the tmobile forum chances are he needs a gsm bb.

currently there's no gsm bb that would fit all of the criteria. you could either sacrifice size for an all built-in option, like the 8310 (full qwerty/gps) or give her something like the pearl (8100) and a gps receiver to keep in the car. or if you don't mind being patient, according to intomobile.com's article (rim planning blackberry 8110 pearl with gps) it shouldn't be long before the 8110 drops which would be a pearl with built-in gps which sounds like it would be perfect for you.
 
8310 is AT&T. 8320 is TMobile. Although I think the previous poster was referring to the 8130, which is a CDMA (Verizon, Alltel or Sprint) Pearl.

If she's not going to be doing a lot of texting the Pearl will work just great for her.
 
8100 doesnt have the GPS built in is the only catch! as far as simple it is the way to go though. i love mine. my husband has the 8700 curve and it has the built in GPS and i LOVE IT! but its wide and bulkier and a little more complicated. I dont know about the service provider she has but AT&T has a 30 day bring it back policy. So if she gets something she isn't too wild about, she can get something different as many times as she wants as long as its within the first 30 days.
 
Ok so I took her to the store to look at the phones. The 8100 is way to small for her to use with dexterity and her vision. So what did she choose out of the lineup........ The Wing can you say ewwww?
