I'm not pursuing a career in film, but I do want to learn as much as I can about it. Many of my friends are extremely talented in film, but don't have the time to teach me stuff they know. I already know the basics of film (basic editing, basic lighting, basic history, etc.) and I can make a decent film, but nothing that really stands out.
Basically, I'm looking for a book that teaches beyond the basics of film, but not necessarily one that is meant for people pursuing careers in film.
