Which anime is about a boy with a magical dog-girl?

I saw it about 3 or 4 years ago. It was fan-subbed, may not have an English release. I think their fought crime together? I'm not sure why they were together.
It's a comedy. I've tried Googling every combination I can think of but nothing has come up.
Finally found it thanks to Anime News Network :D It was Inukami!
