Where's the best place to sell art in san francisco?

A friend of mine is a really good sculpter and painter. The only problem is that hes having a hard time selling his artwork in our city because our city has no appreciation for art. The closest big city to us is san francisco. Are there any places there where my friend can sell some of his art work there? Because he does such amazing work and it needs to get noticed.
