Where's a good place to put my 6 month old in the day?

He's outgrown his bumbo, he was never in a reclined bouncy chair as he ALWAYS wants to be upright. He will not lie on his back and play - he'll roll onto his front and shift himself backwards and then gets frustrated and starts screaming. I have a rubber ring covered in fabric thing for him, but he can now get out of it by leaning over the side and pushing his legs til he topples over ontpo the floor (lots of crying). I have a door bouncer which used to give me 20 mins of peace, but he's bored with that now and I'm lucky if i get 5 mins. I have a walker which is good, but he always does a poo as soon as he gets in it, and also gets stuck and frustrated (lots more crying). So where can I put him to play? I know I hold him too much and he's starting to get real separation anxiety so I want to leave him to play on his own more, but can't seem to find a safe place to put him now he's more mobile. Any ideas?

My babies have always played on the lounge room floor with toys etc I have used a Bumbo but they outgrow them quickly. You just need to childproof the room and let him roam.

Stick with the walker or if you want to spend on something I recommend the high chair you can get from argos that you can use has a high chair or has a desk and chair but still with the tray attached, I think its a winnie the pooh design. But the walker I'd stick with. If you have been holding him Alto then stick to your guns I know it can be hard and stress full doing so but when he starts screaming just introduce different toys or a wooden spoon and plastic bowl etc something different for him to investigate and distract him for a bit longer but don't pick him up. He'll soon get the messege you can't keep picking him up and amuse himself a little longer.
