Where will I get a good price for my 2008 astra sport hatch?

I have been spending £30 etc on autotrader and gumtree to advertise my 2008 astra SXi with pictures etc, but no-one seems to be getting back to me, I even keep going lower on the price, its currently - £8500 but I just don't seem to be getting any buyers. Is this because its a lot of money due to the recession and stuff? Whats the best way that I can sell it without loosing much money?
Please help! thanks
