Think of some of the biggest news events you've heard in your lifetime. Do you remember where you were or what you were doing?
These are some of mine:
Princess Diana's death: My mom told my brother and I over the breakfast table at school
9/11: My highschool principal came into my French class bawling. We're from a small town in ON Canada but it turns out the principal's sister actually worked in the twin towers. I had no idea how big it was until I watched the story unfold on the news at home that night.
Tsunami: Sitting at home by myself, I caught the "Breaking News"
Hurricane Katrina: Followed it on the news with my family back home
Obama's presidency: Sat in my room and watched the whole election. Much more exciting than anything Canada's ever seen.
Feel free to add any other events, not just the ones mentioned. I'm only 22 so I've definitely missed some big ones.
