Where were the thousands & thousands of misplaced people and children taken

after Katrina ... Fema Camps? Only a few stories were shown of people who went to Texas or elsewhere and lived with another family. There were many lost children, people and babies separated from families, and we never heard anything else. What do you think? Katrina was massive! Seems a few stories don't justify or satisfy the scale of the catastrophe.

Many were put up in hotels at tax payers expense. I live in Southern Ark. and worked for some of the hotels. After they left here? I haven't got a clue.

THEY ARE IN ATLANTA AND THEY ARE WILDING OUT! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THEM GET BACK TO NEW ORLEANS!!

No offense, but they came up to Atlanta and the city went nuts. They seemed more interested in trying to fight than get help!

They had to live in shelters (including the Astrodome) for the first couple of weeks, but were given housing vouchers after that. Unaccompanied children would have been the highest priority for the social and relief workers who tended to the catastrophes. No one affected by Katrina is currently housed in any kind of refugee camp.

It must be really bad for the democrats if you have to bring up Hurricane Katrina? I would like to see the stories about the gang fights and rapes inside dome, how street thugs were shooting at police and rescue people. How rude and unthankful the people acted and how they treated the volunteers. How crime skyrocketed in every and I mean every community that took in people from New Orleans. Or how they destroyed hotels and motels that they were put into on tax payers money. Or how some are still living off the natural storm. How come no one (including spike) don't tell the truth about how it really was.

I really don't know. All the smart people left the city before the storm hit. That's one good thing about hurricanes, you always get a couple days notice that one is coming.
