Where to run power cable in a 97 chevy malibu?

where is a place where i can put the power wire through under the hood? I'm trying to avoid go to best buy because they want to chard me 70 bucks to install the amp and subs. I've been doing a lot of research on-line and I'm pretty sure I can do it myself. The only problem is that I don't know how to get that power wire to my trunk. If someone could help me out I will be very thankful.

run the hot wire from your battery through the firewall along the rocker panel where the rest of the wiring for the back lights are at and behind the back seat to the trunk. install the amp and subs clean back against the back seat inside the trunk to protect them. make sure you put a in-line fuse between the battery and the amp. probably a 20 or 30 amp fuse should work.

Look under the drivers side dash(foot area) for a soft black rubber plug that you can pull out. Run your wire through that location & replace the plug when your done. Get a flash light & use a flat head screw driver. Make use it is soft rubber, not hard.
