Where to find block casting ID for 97-06 Pontiac 3800 motor?

I am working on some of these motors every once in a while and I would like to know where to look for the casting numbers to trace info on the motors. Anyone out there know? I searched the net and found info for motors up to the 79 year but nothing after that for some reason.
