"Thus begins the agonizing one- to two-week ordeal of seeing if that’s really true, answering the question “Why?” and seeing if there are any lessons to be learned."
In the sentence above, "answering the question "Why?"" is clearly an element of a list and as such demands a comma at the end. But I don't know where to put it! "Why?," just looks awkward to me. Should I get rid of the question mark?
