i recently moved to LA and have acquired a bike. I've never had to ride in the streets with traffic before and it's kind of terrifying since i don't really know all the rules.
my question is:
at red lights and stop signs, where do you stop and wait?
when is a good time to go once it turns green?
where do you wait when there are cars in the turning lane?
should you stay to the right or go towards the left side of the lane so drivers se you're there?
Stop signs:
i'm assuming it's the same for bikes as it is for cars?
go in order of who arrived first?
and like in the red light scenario, if there are cars already stopped in front of me should i get as close to the stop sign/right as possible or just wait in line?
i've been able to find out all the other laws. these ones just aren't very clear.
thanks for your help in advance!
