I've got a friend coming over from Ireland and I want to take him somewhere really nice, we haven't seen each other in ages! I've lived near Bristol for some time and I've been to a lot of the main restaurants in the city at some point and I would like to go somewhere different to the usual! Not Bella Italia, Pizza Hut or Weatherspoons ;]
If anyone can give a personal recommendation that would be great! Thanks guys.

Don't know if it is still there, but we used like The Gourmet on Whiteladies Road, almost opposite the cinema.
There is also a Fish Restaurant up that way, mentioned in The Good Food Guide.
You could probably find something by asking google or the Bristol Tourist Information Office.

I went to see a business collage in Bristol and we went to 'Le Monde' which is really lovely. It is a great night out, you chose your own steak/fish etc, which is all on display for you to see and the atmosphere is great. There was a magician walking round the tables when we went, which was incredibly fascinating (not tacky at all, which I know some can be!)

Put 'Le Monde' Bristol in your search engine and have a peek before you decide. I personally don't think you will go wrong going there. The address is Le Monde, The Pavilion, Triangle West, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 IET.

Enjoy

:)
