where is the voltage regulator on a chrysler?

As Timbo said, they are usually built in to the alternator nowadays. The days of the old Dynamo ( generator ) are thankfully long gone on modern cars. If it is a pre 1970's car the voltage regulator ( usually in a black Bakelite box) was usually situated on the inner wing / bulhead - firewall & close to the battery & dynamo
