where is the remote control receiver located in a dodge ram 1500?

I purchased a Dodge Ram recently and the remote controls are not working, the previous owner said that they quit working after he took it to the shop to have something repaired in the dash so there is a possibility that the wiring harness going to the remote control receiver are loose, any idea where is it located, I would hate to take the whole dash apart. I did change the batteries on the remotes and still nothing
