where is the oil pressuer sending unit in a 1979 chevy 454?

I have a 1979 chevy stepside with a 454 I am putting in a new wiring harness and I can't find the oi pressuer sending unit. it is not on the back behind the distributer. does anybody know
I have looked behind the distributer and all over the back end of the block nothing there
