I'm having problems starting my car, sometimes it starts right away but most times it starts after the 4 to 8th try. Some say its the fuel filter and some say its the engine and fuel pump relay. I want to get to the bottom of this problem and replace all this parts at once, but first I need to locate the fuel pump relay. Can anyone please help??

I believe the fuel pump is wired into the cars Computer and there is an external fuse attached to the computer that runs the pump circuit along with a couple of other circuits. If memory serves it is a gold or silver fuse bracket actually attached to the side of the computer located behind and under the radio atop the center hump under dash. That is where it was on a different body style Mazda I just worked on a month ago.

there should be a relay under the hood in the same place as the fuses just look on the cover for the fuses and see what each one says but from what it sounds like to me it would most likly be the relay or the fuel pump/sending unit it's self but could be some thing else most likely one of the 2

Look under the hood, there should be a fuse box there with the relay inside it.
