where is the fuel filter in Mazda Protege 5?

I would like to change my fuel filter I am getting a bank 1 misfire, lean code and i want to rule out fuel filter so I wanted to change it. it seems I have vacuum leak or something going on with the fuel injector pressure regulator but do not want to replace if its the fuel filter. Just want to know where this is to start with fuel filter.
 
You'll find it located inside the fuel tank. Lift the back seats, there should be a metal cover, under there awaits the fun. You have to pull the entire fuel pump assembly out. Good luck if you try! If you do try, to change it, make sure to write down notes or better yet take pictures as you remove it so that you have a reference to how it goes back together.
