If I understand this correctly, there is a mechanism attached to the drive belt (or fan belt) of the engine that will tighten or loosen the belt itself. It is called a tensioner. I believe the tensioner in my truck is an "automatic tensioner." Now, can I tighten this tensioner (very slightly)... and if so, exactly *where* is it under the hood?
For a few days, I've noticed this very small, very slight kind of... squeak, or small noise from what I believe is the belt. I've been informed to tighten the tensioner. So this is my... new predicament. I'd love any help at all.
