Where is the camshaft position sensor on a 1994 Ford Windstar?

I have a 1994 Ford Windstar 3.8L GL. I need to replace the camshaft position sensor, but I can't find it anywhere. I have tried searching online as well as using a repair manual.

On top of the engine timing cover. But to repair whatever issue you are having, most likely requires that you replace the cam sensor AND synchronizer assembly. This part requires EXACT proper orientation upon installation of the new part, failing which will result in driveability issues and hard starting. Hope this helps.
