please serious, professional type responses.
okay so im going to try to sum up my issue as short as i can make it while still explaining it all. I always knew that I was back with managing money but my goosh this is ridiculous. I am 23, single, no children. up until a year ago I had a credit score of 710 with no debt. I live on my own (rent) and I own my car (paid in full). I average about $2,000 a month and my expenses are around $1300-1400 per month. so heres the problem...
currently I am about $10,000 in credit card debit and $40,000 in student loan debit (just graduated). I have yet to start repaying any of my debits (i know, i know) and although I still am making the same money and have the same expenses i am always broke!
I dont shop (havent bought myself anything in at least a year i.e. shoes, clothes, electronics). I dont do drugs or drink. I dont gamble. I dont give my money to people. I dont enjoy myself at all! Still I can not seem to account for why in the hell I am broke so often. The only thing I can think of that I do is eat out often. mostly fastfood (im not overweight so i dont pig out) and sometimes sit in restaurants at about $25-30 meals plus tips. my work also requires me to travel about 40miles each way to/from and my car costs about $25-30 bucks to fill up (17 hwy mpg 300+ miles to empty).
I am sure if your reading this It must sound ridiculous but I kid you not, I honestly do not know whats going on here! i am sick and tired and stressed out feeling as though im living paycheck to paycheck when I make more than enough money. I am struggling to pay bills and I dont know why. I am seeking educated individuals who have knowledge of personal finance issues or maybe just some personal experience advice? thank you
