where is a cool place in nyc for a 18th birthday party!!!?

my friend is having her 18th birthday party. where could a group of 15 people (all around 17 or 18) go in NYC (manhattan). we wanted to do karaoke but most are 21+

anywhere cool that doesn't cost a HUGE amount. thanks!
