maybe dancing piano playing in the background kind of night? In Baltiomre

Think outside the box. My husband and I are both 'foodies' ... he's a former chef, I have been a professional cook, and we both love to eat different foods from many idfferent countries and even the very occasional 'fast food' if it's really good (not from a 'national/ international' chain). Take your wife to a place that you'd 'never go in a million years' ... and if you 'think it's a dump' look in the parking lot, and you may see tons of cars ... that means the food is excellent. You want to go dancing with a piano in the background ... what sort of music do you want/like, and is there a 'smaller place' with something very 'different' where you could go after your 'dinner date' to dance? Go there ... you'll probably have a much better time than going for the 'traditional classy place,' and it will be more memorable. I live in Oregon, and in our 'suburban town' outside of Portland, there are 'really excellent food in a tiny restaurant ... like the Tamale House that is owned by the Canby Asparagus Farms. It's not your 'normal' Mexican restaurant, but a 'combination of Nicarauguan, Southern Mexican, and Spanish ... too small for dancing, but the meal I had of fresh asparagus and shrimp was MARVELOUS (however, I will ask them to leave the salsa off the next time I order it ... that was a bit way too hot for me). Just two blocks down the street, there's a place called Cha Cha Cha ... and it has nothing to do with dancing. A 'cha' is a type of Mexican/South American cactus, and they have a really great 'Cha Salad' ... marinated cha, basically, with chips (tortilla chips) around it. For dancing, we'd go elsewhere ... there are many 'smaller clubs' with different types of music and dancing, and we definitely get home 'very satisfied' with our 'evening out.' You live in Baltimore, so what you have there may be 'very different' but I'll take bets that if you think of the 'evening' without thinking of the 'class' of one place, you'll be much happier ... and also go home with money in your pocket, since these 'smaller venues' are usually much less expensive than the 'classy places' (mostly for 'tourists' anyway) ...
