my local area and I get moved...? My primary store, I've worked at for 5 years + I'm regular crew, and without notice, no one told me ahead of time I heard from the other stores general manager that I have been borrowed for two weeks, and that a normal day off for me I've been added to their schedule to work. They have thus attempted to call me in to work at their store for shifts that are impossible for me to work, they didn't ask me when they called me in on my day off when my normal store needed someone to close, which I actually COULD not do, but was forced to anyway, I was supposed to have been asked if I could but the other store GM just said I'm now closing, not what was supposed to happen. let's just say working a closing shift should not get me out of there at 4 a.m. I am scheduled for a non-normal shift for me, my already set in stone(like I can't work period unless asked way earlier) day off has me working my hours have been cut. Is there anything I can do to not work at the other store that severely dislike working at because of recent actions by their managers or am I basically screwed?
I should note that the day I closed, I was asked to come in and work 12-4 at the store I am being borrowed for, which I agreed to, but then sent home and asked to come back work 4-10 which was ok, and after an hour there I was told I was closing at my store when what my manager at my store told their GM was to ask if I could, not what he said.
I have told my managers at my store that short of quitting I'm willing to DO ANYTHING to not work there. Let's just say I am a very calm person and putting my fist through a brick wall 14 feet thick numerous times is tons more pleasurable than this, but nothing my store can do about it...so they tell me my district manager is the one behind this and I'm trying to get him fired because we had our corporate inspection and his "orders" to managers from a store in our district that were there to help(which caused us to lose points on the inspection) were that none of us were to have breaks until the inspection was over, and by that time we had people supposed to be off the clock that had not gone on break all morning. Even bathroom breaks were met with shrugs of I don't know, and our GM could do nothing.
also in checking my employee handbook there is no mention of working for any other stores other than the one I was hired for, no rules for that or against it. I'm probably going to just have to live with it, but I'll be chatting with my gm when they get back from vacation.
