I've added number's to make it easier to tell what sentence starts to go off topic. Also, sentence number 1 is the topic sentence.

1) My senior year of high school I met my now crazy ex-girlfriend. 2) When I first met her and started dating her she seemed like a nice "down to earth" girl. 3) All through our relationship she was fine at the beginning, nut when she broke up with me and I moved to Missouri she turned for the worst. 4) One day she randomly text me after not talking to each other for a couple months blaming me for something I had no idea what she was talking about. 5) So after that whole ordeal I decided to cut my losses and change my cell phone number. 6) Because of that day I kept to myself even more and was careful about who I let into my life. 7) Then I came back to Michigan for Fourth of July in 2010 and met my current girlfriend and changed my ways once again.
The topic sentence is sentence 1 which means that the topic would be my crazy ex-girlfriend. Just for the people that don't know even from me stating that sentence 1 is the topic sentence before this time as well.
