Where do we draw the line with the complexion wars?

My cousin wanted me to ask this honest question, its about the whole light skinned pretty boy vs the darkskin guy thing. My cousin feels that there is a big problem in America and the world with stereotypes and misconceptions about categorizing males. She feels that many of the lighter toned guys in Hollywood would not be as attractive if it wasnt for their light skin tone, as well as in music groups also. She also doesnt understand why when there is a situation with a darkskinned guy with the soft features like mine.LOL! Why we are quickly considered to be gay, when many lightskinned guys with the same exact features are considered pretty boys.HUH? Why is it in America that the whole concept on features that are similar, being accepted more because of a lighter skin tone. Is this a rule of the land, because there are a lot of darkskinned pretty boys like me who are labeled to be homosexual, when we are not. Is not fair
