Usually people have interesting and/or relevant things to say, but sometimes the people the reporters pick to interview at the scene make you scratch your head. Is it because they can't find anyone else?
Here's an example from today (I'm paraphrasing a bit). It was across between funny and annoying...
A man fell through some ice and rescue crews had to be called to pull him out. A man, probably in his 20s, was interviewed on the news. He doesn't know the other man personally.
"Yeah, so like, the dude fell in the water, y'know. He looked like an old dude, y'know? And, y'know, the ambulance got here, y'know, and y'know, like, pulled the guy out of the water, y'know...It was really scary, y'know and he was under water y'know, and they pulled him out, y'know."
Aaaagh?! Really bad! Y'know?
I see this on the news alot. Why?
