I often see people present statistics in this section (as well as just in life generally) like, 'X% of people are raped and never report it' or 'X% of men don't realize they are paying child support for another man's child.'
How on earth could people possibly know these things? How can we know how many people have been raped if they don't report it? How do can we know if a man is raising another man's child if he doesn't even know himself?
