where do I go to get sample HTML code?

I don't really know how to exactly ask this, but since I'm new to programming, I'm wondering what sites I should go to to get sample HTML code to do things for me. (You know the code that you can copy and paste into your website's programming).

Such as I'd like to have form fields that have required entries.

Any advice would be appreciated!
