Where do I go to find a financial advisor? And are they expensive?

My hubby and I don't have too much money right now, but I'm sure we could still cut back and save in some places. Or figure out how to make our lack of money work for us.

I don't know how to find a financial advisor and like I said we don't have much money. Any advice?
LOL!!

We don't have any investments. And we don't use a tax person!! We just need help figuring out how to budget our money and spend wisely and within our means, etc.
 
Several places:

- Seek out a "CFP" (certified financial planner) in your area. Some charge hourly rates and others collect fees from investments. Either way they disclose the sources for you.

- Seek out assistance from your CPA who prepares your taxes.
