This is needed (according to previous Yahoo Answers queries) for connecting an XBox 360 to a Sharp HD TV... .... Sharp TVs are the only ones I've seen where there is no sockets in the back for the five HD wires (Red, Green, Blue & and two audio Red and White). Every other HDTV has these.
