I live in Western Washington. Me and my Uncle went out looking for bear a few months ago and we saw nothing but Grouse. No Deer, no Elk, no Bear, no small game, nothing. We went out yesterday and only saw a rabbit and a coyote. He has been out for times in a row and seen nothing at all. Where did all the game go? When we were out yesterday we saw TONS of bear crap, especially in one spot but it was all from a small bear, maybe a yearling. We heard no gun shots both times we were out, so, where are they? We are hunting three year old clear cuts, and it's Bear country if I ever saw it. He says that it may be just a bad year and that because last winter was so bad that the animals could have all gone down south where it's warmer. Were can we go where we can at lease SEE some wild animals? At least then we can call our excursions "nature walks". I know sometimes it's just that way, but still. That's why it's called 'hunting' and not 'shooting', huh?
