Where could I look for Financial assistance for an internship?

Here's the situation----I applied and have a pretty good chance at getting a really good internship with the government. It is a paid internship and if I got it I would be going to D.C., IL, or TX... (currently in NE) BUT....i have two kids here, rent, utilities etc etc...my husband is currently unemployed so if I get it I would have to come up with a way to support 2 household at once. My home bills added up plus a little extra in case of emergency is about 1250 a month. so 5k over 4 months. If i need to send a little more that would be ok because I'll be making more and I will have lower expenses... (I'm thinking studio apartment, gas, food etc) I just know that I can't leave them hanging obviously and I'm not going to relocate my entire family for four months. I already get FAFSA for school itself...I've looked into scholarships and grants but most the deadlines have passed. I don't know what other options there are other than a loan...which is kinda dumb for only 5k.

Any ideas? The internship is too good of an opportunity to pass up but if I can't afford it I guess I'll have no choice :(
