I've been looking for the longest time, I have no transportation, family don't help and I don't have much friends. I have a daughter, sond, and a husband but I am sick of walking everywhere. My foot has been killing me anyway. I think I have a tumor in it, it's been burning everytime I take a step so I can't go anywheree, and food shopping is the worse, we neever have food.
 
You wont find much for $1000, but you could look into repos.
Some are junk, but others you will find for a very good price.
