Where can you buy temporary hair paint?

I have blonde and hair and I am thinking of getting black highlights. I would like to see what it would look like before I get permanent, though. Do you have any suggestions where I might get that kind of paint, and where I should put my highlights? My hair has most off to one side. (eg: off too one side part painted. Around the middle; how much and where.)
