Where can you buy a verizon phone without service?

I am going to get Cricket service but i want to use a verizon phone. I heard that you can have it flashed over to a Verizon phone So i want to get a verizon phone because they are much better than cricket ones
 
most verizon phones dont take sim cards. But smart phones like the blackberry will still have a slot for a sim card in them. Also if you do get a verizon phone that takes a sim card, you will have to unlock it to use it with another service. And some phones are harder to unlock than others. I would stick to ebay for the phone, as most of them are sold unlocked. Just look for that in the details.
 
Craigslist or ebay. Just make sure you get the phone's ESN or MEID first, and call Verizon to make sure that the number is clean. Otherwise, you could end up with a useless phone that can't be activated.
 
I think you have to talk to Verizon first to have it where it can be turned on by another service. When I sold my blackberry on ebay that's what I had to do for the person who bought it.
