I know a lot of us here in R&S are intelligent, thought provoking folks who are capable of offering up a compelling dialogue. Sure, there's the trolls and report monkeys, but I enjoy the serve-and-volley with most of you, regardless of affiliation or beliefs.
I also presume that the pedophiles ruined the live chat rooms for all of us. I'd gladly give them up to keep our kids safe. But, I never got to experience them in the first place, as I'm relatively new to Y!A. On Facebook, there's at least an option to continue the dialogue. Here, we're all one-hit-wonders.
So, is there a forum where responsible folks can chat and engage in stimulating conversation, and retort?....for free? It would be a lot more conducive to rational understanding.
It may be right under my nose...I'm just not that tech savvy. Sure, I'm a cynic, but I'm getting rather bored with the juvenile (myself included) graffiti-type "tag-and-bail" responses.
I want a little something more engaging and mature.
I fear that's too much to ask.
