Where can i go to pursue a spiritual life? Seeking Enlightenment/God/Self/Peace/Love?

hi. i am very serious about pursuing a spiritual life. i was raised christian but i have studied buddhism and other teaching with an open mind. i am hoping to find somewhere where i can meditate and learn. i meditate some now but i find it difficult with the many distractions in life. i have this feeling that if i channel my engeries towards doing this way then i know i will accomplish what i need to. something will always come along to help me along my path or journey. i live in Miami, FL. USA. i am 19 years old. i am willing to put as much work and effort as it will take. What i am asking is if anyone knows a place where i would be able to go devote my life towards this purpose..where i can meditate and learn spiritual lessons, and ease suffering. mabe even learn to heal others. i want to also help as many people as i can. please let me know of any places.. no matter location or any other thing. i would like as many options so that i may find the right one for me. i thank you all for your help. blessings to all of you.
 
I'm a spiritual person and i don't go to any temples, I just meditate in my home. The most important thing about being spiritual is having compassion and kindness. These are buddhist principles too. Hope that helped. I live in Miramar, Florida :-) hello fellow Miami person!
 
you can meditate at home in your room (if you have separate room for total privacy) both morning and evening - whenever convenient. Meditate with purpose and have some patience. Don't meditate to gain favor, psychic power, or anything funny. Meditate for calmness and maturity. Buddhists are supposed to meditate to free themselves from internal enemies: ignorance, greed and anger.
 
Why do you want to do that; you are both body and spirit; to practice pure spirituality, you would need to get rid of your body.
Bro there's enough time to practice pure spirituality after you die so why the rush?
You can practice true peace and love anywhere you are but for pure Spiritual enlightenment, it's not possible in your present state.
