reasonable price? Please help, I really want to get my business started but don't have transportation, I'm a graphic design and also a photographer. I been carless over a year now, and I want my grandmother's car which is this car, my uncle messed it up. She told me the only way I'll get it if I fix it. The only I called was the actual Cadillac car dealership, they told me they was $900 per rear strut, which would be $1800 together. So is there a place where I can get them online cheaper...or should I go to a junkyard?

Just go with a non-air ride conversion kit like this one....

Check with local parts stores too as they may carry them as well.

It sounds like you have a hydraulic strut system on this Caddy. These things are so costly most people find it as an excuse to buy a new car rather than sink the $$ in it.

You can do just regular struts that have just the gas charged cartridges or you might be able to use the air ride shocks like earlier model Sedan DeVille's use.

You just need to know the distance between the top and bottom of the original struts and can even have someone weld in a bracket for what ever new strut of shock you decide to go with. I'm sure you can fix this situation for less than $500.

Good Luck!!
