Where can I get the origanal Sid Meiers Civilization game?

I have been looking online and I can't find any copy other than the floppy disk version from 1991.
I want to play it on PC. I have XP.

Does anyone know of a store that sells it, or have any other ideas of how I can get playing this game?

However i don't know how to work dosbox. I tried following the instuctions you linked, but I'm not sure i'm getting it right.

How do I tell dosbox where to find the game, and then how to run it?
 
many of the old classic DOS based games like civilization are called "abandonware" now. in many cases, you can download these games free of charge, and play them on your computer.

you will need two things:

1. the game, obviously
2. a DOS emulator. the best one is called DOSbox.

i'll give you links to both below...

(DOSbox has a wonderful help function in the program, and there are many tutorials online for it.)
