After getting a notice to quit and left in the amount of time given. In our lease we are responsible for paying the rent unless new tenants move in. It is a 4 person place. The landlord is trying to hold us responsible to pay for half the rent since 2 new tenants have signed the lease and living there, but are looking for 2 more roommates. How are we still responsible to pay if he has new tenants?
