Where can I get free japanese channels/news online daily?

With the cable i have i cannot watch japanese t.v.....is there a site via online where i can watch japanese daily news or just japanese t.v. for free?
Is there also a place for japanese dramas?...and if there arent free sites are there very cheap ones?
