I used to drive Mazda 626 Series Gd1022 (year 1991) 9 years ago. Then I went overseas for 3 years and have left the car at a friend's place. I came back to Brisbane 2 years ago. I have recently picked up the car with a tow truck, because the car does not work at all - 4 wheels are dead flat, engine does not work and battery is flat as well. The worse thing is, my friend couldn't find the car key and I didn't have the spare key. I would like to fix the car and get it going, but without the key I can't get into the car and work on it.

I have been to Mazda dealer in Brisbane, they told me that they need the car physically at the car shop so they can make the key and it would cost around $300~400.

My question is: where or who can I go to get/buy the car key for Mazda 626 without paying too much?? I don't mind old car key, as long as it works!

Just order or purchase a new ignition tumbler from a parts store or dealership.I don't know what kind of auto parts stores you have in Brisbane, but if it's anything like hear in the states you should be able to pick one at a parts store for about half of what the dealer will charge you.
